The tragedy of Lamberto Sposini: in his life today he has no friends and no future.

 When the name Lamberto Sposini is mentioned, it’s impossible not to highlight the professionalism of this great state television host, one of the most beloved, having hosted La Vita in diretta for years, although he hasn’t been seen on the small screen for some time due to the illness that changed his life forever.

Sposini had a truly impeccable career, one that was constantly on the rise, until April 29, 2011, the day his life changed irreversibly. He was scheduled to report live on the most anticipated royal wedding, that of Prince William and Kate Middleton, but shortly before the live broadcast of La Vita in diretta, which was to cover the wedding, the journalist suffered a stroke.

He was rushed to the Policlinico Gemelli in Rome, underwent brain surgery to remove the hematoma, and remained hospitalized for four months. He then underwent rehabilitation at the Santa Lucia clinic in Rome, before being transferred to a specialized facility in Switzerland and then back to Italy, to Milan.

Sposini’s story has touched us all deeply, as his waking nightmare began then, seemingly with no end in sight, much to the bitterness of all his fans.
